How far along? 38 weeks on Sunday May 27, 2012
Weight gain/loss: +25.4
Size of baby: a pumpkin…I will believe that!
Sleep: falling asleep has gotten better since the move is over…now my only anxiety is just waiting…I lay down thinking about how it is all going to go down. staying asleep is another story. I am getting up more and more frequently to pee and Matias has been up every other night or so frantically looking for baby P…I calmly tell him that baby P is still in my tummy…he says PHEW OHH OK! and falls back asleep. BUHHHAHAHA
Food cravings: WINE…I gave up wine with pregnancy…yea, it is OK to have a glass here and there…but what is ONE glass of wine?! I can’t wait to have a FEW glasses of wine! hehe
Food aversions: mustard
Pregnancy Signs: over the past week I have had a strange amount of energy…guess this is what they call nesting…and without having a room for baby P before we moved I had a lot of built up nesting energy to let out!
Labor Signs: pelvic pressure and twinges getting worse and loosing some bladder control…OOPS
Movement: he is a busy little guy…moves my whole body
Gender: BOY
What I miss: I have an awesome walk-in closet at the new place…unpacking and organizing all of my clothes made me miss all the things I can not wear right now…hopefully one day…
What I am looking forward to: I have been wondering where my allergies were this season…well the move really seemed to stir them up and the past week has been a bit miserable. I had started getting allergy shots 2 weeks before I became pregnant since i am allergic to just about everything but cockroaches. When I became pregnant I had not gotten far enough into the shots so I had to stop. Looking forward to starting those back up again.
Best moment this week: finally setting up baby Ps room!
Milestones: we are all situated in the new place! we spent about a week and a half moving and unpacking. each night Matias would move a few loads over and the next day I would spend unpacking…we must have made about 20 trips. I felt frantic to get it all done before baby P came out. we are ready now baby P!
Weekly Wisdom: “I’m not interested in being Wonder Woman in the delivery room. Give me drugs.” – Madonna …yea so I think I have a birth plan!
Going the Distance: baby P has swam: 438.95 miles, biked: 1276.48 miles, walk/ran: 92.10 miles, and done: 51 hot yogs classes

Daddy and Ginger
Like the name you have picked.
what a beautiful room. where did you all move to? can’t believe it’s nine days away!!
Thanks Deb! we just moved about 1.5 miles down the street…still in Alexandria…near the Eisenhower metro.
Congatulations on your pregnancy Katie…..you’re looking great. Love the room for your new addition too.
You know I went into labor 8 days before my due date…just saying!
Wishing you a quick and painless delivery…well as painless as squeezing a human being out of you can be!
Can’t wait to see the little guy one day soon.
Katie and Matias! The room looks amazing! My dad’s name is Leo, I love how you both were able to do this while expecting! Let me know if you need anything. I’m always a phone call or email away.
Can’t believe your stomach really can stretch that far. Love the updates. This is going to be the most popular baby ever!
