Aunt Sarah & Uncle Brendan got married last weekend!!! It was such a wonderful weekend of celebrating and seeing family

Last week we had our 20 week sonogram (where we would have found out the gender). baby pink Sparkles is happy, healthy, and growing! And looks like she has Mommy’s long legs

18 weeks 6 days…

ohhh to be so relaxed!

Sleep: not good. is it because Leo has a hard time sleeping through the night in his own crib? is it because I enjoy Leo snuggling in bed with me but have a hard time sleeping when he does? is it because I have a million things going through my mind…work, sister’s wedding, Leo, baby pink sparkles….or maybe it is just because I am pregnant.
Food cravings: SUGAR
Food aversions: dirt…really nothing
Pregnancy Signs: the emotional mess is starting…starting to cry at everything and the paranoia. I feel sad when Leo does not pay enough attention to me, sad when he crawls to someone else, sad when Matias is does not pay attention to me, sad when etc etc physically I feel like a champ…still able to smash a solid 5K in the pool.
Movement: YES…taps and seeing ripples across my tummy
Gender: baby pink sparkles
What I miss: I missed Snapple Training Camp…2nd year in a row…I felt sad. I’ll be back in action next year I promise! Race season is starting and people are crushing workouts. I am crushing donuts (HA…JK not really). but feeling a little left out. but so happy to be where I am right now with my amazing family I would not change a thing.
What I am looking forward to: my little sister’s wedding in less than 2 weeks!
Best moment this week: watching Leo take his first steps and approaching toddlerhood…

15 weeks in Miami for a sister getaway/bachelorette party

How far along? 15 weeks on Friday April 5, 2013
Weight gain/loss: +3.6 pounds
Size of baby: the size of an avocado
Maternity clothes? not yet…
Stretch marks: none
Belly Button in or out? in the middle…does one’s belly button ever return to normal after being pregnant?!
Sleep: soso. I am getting up more frequently to go to the bathroom. and so much anxious excitement about life in general is making sleep difficult.
Food cravings: orange POP
Food aversions: coffee
Pregnancy Signs: OH MY…the 2nd trimester is so wonderful…wish I could stay here forever…but still have a baby of course! full of energy and anxious excitement about life in general. And again I have become very attached to Matias and Leo. Leaving them for Miami felt like forever and it was so wonderful to return home to them.
Movement: probably just gas?
Gender: GIRL…baby pink sparkles! nursery in the works. who can guess the theme?!
What I missed: baby Leo and Matias while I was away in Miami…so much it hurt
What I am looking forward to: going to CA for a wedding with Matias in 2 weeks…babymoon! although leaving Leo again and warm weather for keeps!
Best moment this week: our sister getaway to Miami! and getting to meet my niece Madeleine. and then coming home to my family.

Milestones: passed a big program at work that I had been on since October…this is pretty AWESOME.

Bring on the PINK, SPARKLES, HELLO KITTY! This might get ugly….

Because of my soon to be advanced maternal age (I will be 35 in August and P2 comes in September)…we are able to get some additional testing. At the 1st trimester screening we had some blood taken for a DNA test…which again tests for chromosomal problems and also detects gender. The results just came in Leo is going to have a little sister! and more importantly all looking very healthy!

13 weeks 5 days

yikes.

I love Leo SO much it hurts. It makes me cry. I have been so exhausted lately…but when I care for him I get this burst of energy. He is such a LOVE. I have been going to bed when he does…around 8 to 9pm…but we get up by 5am…and usually Mommy is up even earlier in order to prepare for the day before he awakes.

Sometimes I wonder how I will have just as much love for another little baby. But they say you just do. THAT is AMAZING!

poor Matias…I am a cranky meany. But I love him SO much it hurts too. a lot of hurtin going on…

Leo is a morning person, just like Mommy. After this day, we lowered the crib mattress and the mad safety-proofing has begun.

It is true what they say about showing earlier :O

I got a belly. Pregnancy has taken over my body once again.

Had my 1st appointment with my doctor this week. Everything going well. I was about 100% sure on having a c-section again. Doc confirmed this would be necessary (anything under 18 months much be a repeat c-section…we will be about 15.5 months). OH and I was able to find baby P2s heartbeat with the doppler at 9.5 weeks!

And we have decided to go with baby P2…as in Cervelo. hehe

This one goes out to baby Leo…because he’ll always be my baby…
