Matias never believed there was anyone out there for him…

Matias Palavecino was born in Chile on November 6, 1981.  Soon after the family moved to the US.  At a young age Matias learned that he was the fastest kid on the block and found himself running around the track through college.  At Bucknell, Matias did not only outrun the ladies, but he also got a solid education and graduated with a degree in Electrical Engineering.  He then landed a job in DC as an engineer working and supporting the airports around the country.  Matias learned how to ride a bike fast and with his knowledge of swimming decided to take up triathlon.  His passion grew strong…but all along he was still looking for that special something or someone…

Katie never thought there was anyone out there that would put up with her…

Katie Davison was born in Strongsville, Ohio on August 3, 1978.  At the age of 5 Katie learned how to swim and spent every summer at the pool.  With a feeling there must be more to life, she went on to graduate with a bachelor in Physics and Meteorology from Ohio University and then a masters in Meteorology from Penn State.  After college she landed a job in the big city….where her technical skills brought her to the Patent Office.  Katie continued swimming…everyday in the pool…her passion grew…and then came triathlon.  But still there was something missing…

then one day Katie jumped on Matias’s feet at swim practice…
